Do you book the entertainment and venue?
If you wish to use a venue or entertainer then we ask you to book this direct with them. There are several benefits to doing this and the good news is that once you have done it then we really do take care of the rest. If you are looking for entertainment inspiration then check out our Entertainers page for top entertainers that come recommended with our Badge of Brilliance. We even give you a special discount if you book one of these entertainers as well as us.
When will I receive the invites?
Depending on when you place the order, we usually send out the invites 5 weeks before the party date for you to distribute. We can send them sooner if you wish and will dispatch them promptly for parties with a shorter lead time.
How long before the party should I book my Party On A Plate?
We ask for a minimum of 4 weeks notice in order to provide a full service as per the packages and pricing published. We recommend booking at least 2 months before the party if possible and the more notice that you give us the better. However please contact us if you find yourself caught short of time at the eleventh hour and we will always see what we can do - we have been known to save the day with 48 hours notice.
What area do you cover?
At the moment we cover Wiltshire, Hampshire, Somerset and Oxfordshire. Delivery within a 20 mile radius of Salisbury incurs no additional charge, whilst 50p per additional mile each way is charged beyond this. If you live further afield and would like a Party On A Plate please do get in touch as we are continually extending our customer reach.
When do I have to pay?
We ask for payment at point of booking - ie chosen package price plus chosen add-ons. However we appreciate that you will not know final guest numbers until closer to the party date and offer an option of purchasing additional invites as part of the add-on choices, rather than paying for additional guests at this stage. Final numbers must be confirmed 10 days prior to the party at which point the final payment is required in full.
What if I have to cancel, can I have a refund?
Please see our T&Cs for full cancellation details. How long before the party you cancel will determine the level of refund.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes, here are our regular offers:
We are proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and offer 10% discount to British troops and their immediate families.
We also provide discount when you book one of our recommended Badge of Brilliance entertainers in conjunction with Party On A Plate; please note that the discount is applied to the Party On The Plate booking only.
Our Go-Green pledge means that we present you with a credit voucher if you return the food box system in re-usable condition. This voucher is valid for a year and can be used by you or a friend.

Do you use plastic?
We only use plastic that can be responsibly re-used or that is PET1, meaning it can be recycled in at least 92% of household recycling centres. We don’t use plastic straws and we generally avoid balloons unless specifically requested. We endeavour to ensure that everything we use, including tableware, is either biodegradable, compostable or can be responsibly re-cycled. We include further information in your order to assist you and your cleaning pack comes with two bin bags, one for general waste and one for recycling.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes, absolutely! All we ask is that you make us aware of any dietary requirements a minimum of 10 days prior to the party, when you confirm final numbers. If we don’t know about it then we can’t cater for it. Depending on the requirement and the numbers it may be necessary to add a small surcharge. Allergy information is provided with the food.
